Man Seriously Injured in Pulaski Pike Wreck - UPDATED

Huntsville, AL - Huntsville Police are investigating a two car accident that sent one man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

It happened around 11:35 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Pulaski Pike and Stringfield Road. Preliminary reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a 2003 white Mazda Tribute travelling south on Pulaski failed to stop at a redlight and was struck broadside by another vehicle.

The two occupants of the other car weren't seriously hurt. The intersection was closed for some time after the accident.

Update 3:00 p.m. - Police have identified the injured man as 29 year old Lequan Obrien Bailey. He's in stable but critical condition at Huntsville Hospital.
