Jackson County Busts Moonshine Still

Scottsboro, AL - The Jackson County Sheriff's office and Alabama Beverage Control has broken up what they are calling a moonshine operation.  Jackson County investigators got a tip and after a three day investigation located the operation at a residence off Alabama Highway 65 in the Estillfork community.

Approximately 44 gallons of untaxed, illegal "moonshine" was discovered on the property and seized along with what is known as moonshine making equipment. 

Arrested in connection with the investigation was Joenell Marie CRAIG, age 46 of Estillfork, Alabama.   She is charged with Possession of Illegally manufactured Alcoholic Beverages (Misdemeanor). Craig was released on her own recognizance, pending further court action.

At least one additional arrest is anticipated in the near future and the investigation icontinues.
