Anybody that's ever done any painting, knows that once the job is done, that's when the real work begins.
Cleaning the paint brushes. A local inventor has come up with something that might make the job a little easier.
"What it does, is strips the film that's left behind off of each bristle on the inside and the outside of the paint brush and it doesn't harm any bristles", said Richard Junkins, inventor of the Paint Piranha.
It's called the Paint Piranha, Richard developed the idea after years in the remodeling business.
"Everybody says necessity is the mother of all inventions. Over the years I've had probably $20,000 worth of paint brushes the last 15 to 20 years. If you let one dry up, you might else well throw it in the garbage. Because the way it used to be cleaned you damaged the brush.
Richard shows us here how his invention gets the dried paint off an old paint brush, it also can be used to cleanup rollers. The Paint Piranha is not available in stores yet, he's still working with retailers, but when it does hit the market, he expects big things.
"The one thing about the paint piranha is that it is a global product. The whole planet paints."
