Huntsville, Ala. - A big boost for Boeing in the rocket city.
The company has completed a $50 million expansion to its Strategic Missile & Defense Systems facilities in Huntsville.
The work was done in support of Boeing's seeker production team, which builds the eyes and brains of the Patriot Advanced Capability 3 missile for the Army.
This missile is currently deployed abroad with our warfighters.
Boeing began deploying the PAC-3 missile 10 years ago.
Boeing says production will double from 15 to now 30 seekers a month.
