RUSSELLVILLE, Ala. (WAAY) - Police say they believe two men were staking out homes as tree trimmers and then breaking into them when the residents weren't home.

Ricky Dale Guschke, 56, and Shane Croslin, 25, are charged with burglary and theft. Authorities say they suspect the two in a number of burglaries in the area.

Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver said the men were arrested Thursday after they were seen leaving a home near Cave Hollow Road with a hot water heater.
