DECATUR, Ala. (WAAY) - Police arrested a man after he stripped off his clothes and tried to enter Austin High School Monday afternoon.

According to school officials, the man entered the school a little after 2 p.m. and tried to check out a student. He was not on the approval list and was turned away.

Officials said the man left the school, got into his car and drove over a curb into a field. School employees and the school resource officer approached the man, who they say then took off his clothes and started waving at the students in the school.

Decatur police took the man into custody. His name has not been released.
