MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. (WAAY)- The mayor of Muscle Shoals has decided to uphold the termination of the Muscle Shoals police officer accused of shooting and killing a deer on TVA property while on duty.

Mayor David Bradford said that this is something they do not take lightly. He said after reviewing the case and hearing, he made the decision to uphold Greg Scoggins' termination from the Muscle Shoals Police Department.

Scoggins was fired from the department last week. He had been on paid administrative leave since the incident happened on December 23rd.

Scoggins now has 10 days to appeal the decision to the Civil Service Board.
