Dekalb County Investigators are on the scene of a shooting in Dawson

DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. (WAAY) - DeKalb County Sheriff investigators are looking for a man in connection with a shooting in the town of Dawson.

Details are limited.

DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris says his office got a call Tuesday morning about a man who had been shot.

Once investigators arrived to the scene, they found a man in a car in a field that had been shot in the neck.

Before the man was airlifted to a hospital, he told deputies that he had gotten into a fight with another man when the man pulled a rifle and shot him.

Currently, authorities are searching for Travis Townsend in connection with the shooting.
