Appeals court affirms new sentencing for Austin Clem

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WAAY) - The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals granted the Limestone County District Attorney's petition for a new sentence for convicted rapist Austin Smith Clem.

Limestone County Circuit Court Judge James Woodroof had already said in November he would conduct a new sentencing hearing for Clem.

Clem, 25, was convicted of three rape charges but his sentence did not include prison time.
