ADDISON, Ala. (WAAY) - Four small airplanes were damaged at the Addison Municipal Airport in Winston County.

An airplane hangar collapsed flipping one plane upside down and smashing two others.

The high winds blew one plane out of the hanger and into a nearby field.

Southern Aviation Services owns two of the planes and the hangar.

Gordon Grooms works for the company and said it was hard to see all their hard work destroyed.

"We put a lot of time and money into restoring them and bringing them up to be good air crafts and safe air crafts. And when you lose one, we'll take and restore them and bring them back up again. We won't give up," said Grooms.

Grooms said he estimates the damage at more than $200,000.

Also in Winston County, damage was reported in the Houston community near Smith Lake.

Several trees were blown down onto homes.

Some residents could not leave their homes until crews removed trees and power lines from the roads.

The Winston County Emergency Management Agency said there were no reports of any injuries.
