DECATUR, Ala. (WAAY)-The Decatur Public Library is closer to reopening but they're still dealing with delays. The library closed it's doors around Thanksgiving last year to install a new heating and cooling system.

The new system is working and now library staff with the help of Morgan County inmates are moving back into the building from their temporary location in the Decatur Mall.

But Decatur Public Library Director Sandra McCandless says now they have two leaks in the roof and problems with the computer server. "Not only are the public computers down but our computers are down as well. And we got someone here from the state library to help us work thru that so as soon as we get the server up and running and finish getting everything back in place, we'll be ready to go."

The library will soon announce a day next week that they will reopen with or without the computer server up and running.
