Most memorable interview or story: I covered the Upper Big Branch mine explosion in West Virginia. It was a long week waiting to find out if the 29 miners had survived. The small community really came together and supported each other. It was heartwarming and heartbreaking to see.
Role model: Audrey Hepburn…classic, sophisticated and altruistic.
Favorite food: Grilled cheese and fried okra.
Favorite sports team and why: Haha, there isn’t any contest. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!! I verge on crazy.
Favorite musician: The Beatles.
Favorite vacation spot: Paris, Edinburgh…Might sound silly, but I think I lived in Edinburgh in a former life. And of course, the Gulf beaches!
First TV appearance: I guess it was college…WVUA at the University of Alabama.

Favorite TV show or movie: Breakfast at Tiffany’s and shamefully, I watch A LOT of TV…too many to choose a favorite.
Why you like working in the Tennessee Valley and WAAY: After spending six years above the Mason-Dixon Line, I’m glad to be back in my home state where the winters aren’t so icy. Everyone here in the Valley is friendly and giving, which makes for a great place to live.
