HUNTSVILLEAla. - The Huntsville City Council is taking steps to be more transparent through a new initiative on the city's web site.

Council meeting agendas are already posted online, and now, resolutions and ordinances will be posted in full-text as well.  They will appear as hyperlinks listed throughout each meeting agenda.

Councilman Bill Kling hopes Huntsville residents will take advantage of this new option.  He says, “I think it helps the process if the public can see all the information that we're using, we're not hiding anything, and maybe it'll help them understand better how we make some of these tough decisions that we make."

To access this feature, go to hsvcity.com, click ‘City Council Agendas’ on the bottom of the page and then on the next page as well.  Then select the agenda you’d like to view under ‘Current & Past Agendas.’ Click here for a direct link.
