DECATUR, Ala. (WAAY) - The Morgan County Department of Human Resources and Decatur Police Department conducted a joint investigation when a newborn baby tested positive for THC.

As a result of the investigation, it was determined that Marian Santana James, 25, smoked marijuana during her pregnancy.

A warrant was obtained for James' arrest. She turned herself in Thursday and was booked into the Decatur City Jail.

James is charged with Chemical Endangerment of a Child. She's being transferred to the Morgan County Jail on bail of $2,500.
