After going undefeated in their regular 2008 season, the Meridianville Giants took first place in the 7 and under category of the 2008 USSSA Alabama State Tournament in Alabaster last weekend.  The Giants now advance to the 7U USSSA World Series in Chattanooga, TN to be held July 9-13.  The team also took first place in this year's Madison County Rural Recreation Spring Tournament in their division.
