My passion for journalism began at an early age. My very first memory of being in news was when I read the morning announcements in the fifth grade. I vividly remember the rush of excitement as I provided my school with crucial information. Fast forward to high school and college, where I immersed myself in any and all television news experiences. I was involved in campus media and completed six news internships – you can say I was a little obsessed! Those experiences led me to WAAY 31 where I joined the team as a reporter in November 2016.
I feel very fortunate to be pursuing a career in the industry I’ve always loved and in a community so tightknit and caring. My favorite part of working at WAAY 31 is being able to tell the stories of these communities and making a difference in the lives of those who live in the Tennessee Valley.
