Sunny & hot Mother's Day weekend

Friday is starting muggy and mild around the Tennessee Valley.

Some locations are experiencing some patchy fog, but most of us will start out partly cloudy. The afternoon holds sunshine and heat. Highs climb to the lower 90s this afternoon and a stray storm cannot be ruled out over our eastern counties.

The weekend brings more of the same, minus the storm chances. Saturday and Mother's Day will be hot and sunny as highs climb into the lower 90s again. Not quite to record values...but only a couple of degrees shy.

Rain and storm chances hold off until next Tuesday. When they return, we'll see afternoon scattered storms for most of the week.
