Lauderdale County Drug Task Force officials find four ounces of "Ice" and drug paraphernalia at a home on County Road 609, where an officer involved shooting happened on Wednesday.
Madison County authorities are investigating the shooting that involved Florence police during a Wednesday morning search warrant.
Officers told WAAY 31 the call came in around 5:50 a.m. at a home on County Road 609. Florence Police Department's SWAT team and the Lauderdale County Drug Task Force were executing a search warrant at the home when they said one suspect pointed a gun at an officer and one officer fired his weapon.
The officer is now on paid leave until the investigation is complete adn he is cleared to go back to work.
Ashley Diana Allen, 35, of Killen, was struck in the abdomen. She was treated and released from Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital.
Ferlin Faires, the homeowner, was hit in the hand, and Eric Trousdale had injuries to his head and face, police said. Faires was taken to UAB for treatment and was expected to be treated and released. Thursday, ECM officials said Trousdale was in fair condition.
Madison County investigators were called in to help with the investigation since it was an officer-involved shooting. Madison Officials secured the scene Wednesday night and the Lauderdale County Drug Task Force was allowed to finish their search of the home.
Officials said they found Four ounces of "Ice", or high grade methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. They believe the suspects could have been selling drugs because of the paraphernalia they found.
They plan to turn their findings over to the Lauderdale County District Attorney.
