A system is has developed over the south central US and will move across the Valley on Sunday. We have already seen the cloud cover from that system increased this afternoon.
The remainder of the evening will be dry and chilly. Overnight lows will be in the upper 30s.
Showers are expected to move in early Sunday morning. Areas around the Shoals could see the rain as early as 4 a.m. but the bulk of the heavy rain will come through the Valley during the morning and early afternoon. The rest of the afternoon and evening could produce light sporadic showers as the system moves south.
Another system will piggy back on this one and cause more rain between Tuesday and Wednesday. All in all the first part of this week could bring rain totals 1-2".
The good news is that Monday and Thursday appear to be completely dry.
We are also watching another system that will move in later this week.
Enjoy the Valley!
