UPDATE: Man killed in early-morning Limestone wreck identified

One man died as a result of the wreck. The other driver was taken to the hospital for possible minor injuries. One man died as a result of the wreck. The other driver was taken to the hospital for possible minor injuries.

The two-vehicle crash also sent the other driver to the hospital for evaluation.

One man is dead after an early morning wreck in Limestone County.

Jonathan Adam Cook, 31, of Athens was killed when his motorcycle collided with a truck on Highway 72 near the corner of Seven Mile Post around 5:15a.m.

Cook was pronounced dead at the scene. A female driver was taken to Athens-Limestone Hospital for possible minor injuries following the wreck.

The Limestone County Sheriff's Office and Athens Police managed traffic since there was only enough room for one lane of traffic to flow in one direction.

The wreck is under investigation.
