Three people have been arrested and accused of breaking in to homes in northern Madison County.
The robberies happened in New Market and Hazel Green Tuesday evening.
An off-duty sheriff's deputy got information about the burglaries and then spotted a suspicious vehicle. He called for backup and was able to take the alleged thieves in to custody when it arrived.
Inside the suspects car, deputies found thousands of dollars in stolen property, including jewelry and an X-Box.
No names have been released and the investigation is ongoing.
