TANNER - A group of women in Limestone County have opened a no-kill shelter in Tanner.
They decided to open the shelter after seeing hundreds of dogs euthanized at the Athens Shelter. They rescue nearly a dozen dogs a week from the shelter.
But over the holidays they are trying to find the dogs a foster home. If you don't want to keep the dog or can't afford it, you can bring it back the day after Christmas.
If you're interested in fostering a dog or adopting a dog you can email: peaceloveandanimals@gmail.com or call Cathy Oakley at 233-4343.
If you can't foster or adopt you can also donate to the no-kill shelter.
