MOULTON, Ala. (AP) - Officials say a Holly Pond woman with powder methamphetamine has been arrested after riding an all-terrain vehicle from Cullman County to Moulton in the cold, wind and rain.
Police Chief Lyndon McWhorter tells the Decatur Daily in a Thursday story that 26-year-old April Marie Leak was arrested around midnight Tuesday when she was found with the drugs.
Leak said she rode alongside Alabama 157 from somewhere between Hanceville and Cullman to Moulton.
McWhorter said Leak was dressed in black, including coveralls and a helmet and the ATV didn't have any lights. The investigation began around 11:30 p.m. when police got a call about a suspicious person on a four-wheeler.
She could also face charges because the four-wheeler didn't have a vehicle identification number.
