MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - The Turkey Day Classic will have a hard time living up to recent games.
Rivals Alabama State and Tuskegee meet Thursday afternoon at Cramton Bowl in a game that has produced both drama and controversy.
The Hornets (4-6) would love to put a nice finishing touch on a disappointing season for the second straight year. Tuskegee (8-2) has already clinched its fourth straight SIAC title and a Pioneer Bowl matchup with Elizabeth City on Dec. 5.
But memories of last year's meeting lingered. The Tigers had a 27-game winning streak ended with a 17-13 loss.
There was a controversial call when the official waved off an apparent catch by Tuskegee in the end zone on the final drive. Tuskegee won a triple-overtime game in 2007.
