A self defense course designed for women is being held in Scottsboro this weekend.

It's set for Saturday from 2:00 - 4:00 at the Rec-Com at 701 South Houston Street.

The class will cover defense maneuvers against attackers ranging from purse snatchers to rapists. The class will be taught by a black belt martial artist.
