Associated Press - November 12, 2009 10:54 AM ET

CORINTH, Miss. (AP) - Authorities say an Alabama man will be charged with bank robbery after he recovers from injuries from a fatal crash during a police chase.

Police say 25-year-old Asa Nakeen Warren of Tuscumbia, Ala., was a passenger in a vehicle that crashed Tuesday. The driver, 24-year-old Vida Deshondrell Byrd, also of Tuscumbia, died in the accident.

Warren was hospitalized in serious condition with head injuries.

Corinth Police Chief David Lancaster said Warren used a gun when he robbed SouthBank in Corinth.

Lancaster said Warren jumped in the car with Byrd and they crashed and flipped after a pursuit with speeds topping 100 mph.
