Sheffield Police are still trying to find out exactly why a 56 year old man was found dead in the middle of a road on Monday morning. However, they do say they're relatively sure that early reports of a hit and run are wrong.

Police have identified the man as Rickie Vickery, of 6th St. in Sheffield.

Investigators say it looks as though Vickery died of natural causes, but the investigation will continue until that's confirmed.

Vickery was found slumped over on the side of West Saywell Street, near the South Montgomery intersection around 6:00 Monday morning.
