JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities have recovered the body of a Telford man who drowned in the Nolichucky River.

An official said divers found the body of 39-year-old John H. Harrell under a rock ledge in about 15 feet of water about three hours after, according to witnesses, he screamed for help and disappeared underwater Saturday afternoon.

Fred Kemp of Washington County Search and Rescue told the Johnson City Press divers discovered Harrell's body 20-30 feet from where he first went under.
